📌 What are they and why use them?

Perfect for getting from downtown (Crucero or Tulum Avenue) to any point along the Hotel Zone — beaches, malls, or hotels.
Some R1 buses also go all the way to Puerto Juárez, where you can catch the ferry to Isla Mujeres. Just make sure the front sign on the bus says “Puerto Juárez”.

This one starts in residential neighborhoods like Villas Otoch, Paseos Kabah, and Niños Héroes. It also runs through the Hotel Zone, ending at Playa Delfines. It’s commonly used by locals and guests staying outside the tourist area.
✅ R10 Route
The most direct line to the Ultramar ferry terminal in Puerto Juárez. It runs from downtown through the Hotel Zone and stops right at the ferry dock — great if you’re planning a day trip to Isla Mujeres.

💡 Local tips
- 🔍 Always check the sign on the front of the bus — it should say “Hotel Zone” or “Puerto Juárez”.
- 🏖️ If you’re heading to the Hotel Zone, catch the bus on the lagoon side of the street. To go back downtown, wait on the ocean side.
- 🧾 Avoid using big bills; drivers might not accept them.
- 📱 Use apps like Moovit or MiMovilidad QRoo to check real-time arrivals and routes.
- 🚏 Some bus stops are not clearly marked. If you see people waiting curbside, ask if the bus stop is the right one for your trip.
